Beantown Beatdown

The Beatles' final tour hit Boston on August 18th, 1966 for an evening concert at Suffolk Downs race track. Here are some news reports and a bit of "She's A Woman" from WBZ radio:

Kenny Everett was also covering the tour for Radio London, and captured a few song snippets, including an interview with a fan who jumped on stage during "Long Tall Sally":

  1. A big thank you from Los Paranoias too! Am I just a wishful thinker or do I see a St Louis concert fragment lurking in the near future :)

  3. Hey Dinzy!

Absolutely fantastic! I thank you and my Suffolk Downs movie thanks you! Do you have any of Jim Staggs Suffolk Downs recordings? Anything from the Somerset Hotel press conference? These sounded way better than my source, so thanks again from SwamiKlang

  4. Glad you liked them!

These are the only Suffolk Downs recordings I have. I do have some of Jim Stagg's interviews from Boston, as well as Bess Coleman's, but nothing of the '66 press conference.
